I used to live in a quiet neighbourhood. That isn't true anymore. In the last few years, I have witnessed a few changes that I don't like.
The 21 year old daughter of the man and woman of the house next door to me has been placed in handcuffs. Yet again. I have now seen her hauled away by the cops at least 4 times. This time was pretty bad. She broke into the house next door to her, and stole money and diamonds. The owners of this house are well into their 80's. The woman's diamond earrings that were a 25th wedding anniversary present given to her by her hubby are gone. We all suspect they were fenced for drugs.
The little terror is now under some sort of house arrest. She is out on bail, and must remain in her home. She cannot be left alone, someone is there all hours of the day. The police have called her a person without any conscious. She has stolen from her parents. Law Enforcement suspects she is part of a group of young adults who have burgularize homes in my town for quite awhile. The newspapers don't print this stuff. They want my town to remain a real charming place to live-despite children bringing guns to school, drugs hidden in pens in high school, and the above mentioned young woman who I hope gets a stiff sentence when she goes before the judge, which I hope is going to happen very soon.
When it does, it won't be in the paper. I hope at least I hear it from one of the other neighbours. I'll let you know if I do.
Directly across from the house arrest case is a home that was bought last year for a pretty good price. Not cheap. Since Labor Day, a group of young men have been occupying this home. Between the hours of 5:30am and 7am, Carpenter and Sanding vans pick them up for work.
The owners of the home do not live there, but are boarding these workers to work for them. I live in single family house zoning. This is definitely not single family goings on here. I think it is against the law.
And to top it all off, my blood work has to be redrawn tomorrow because the three vials had only one requisition attached, when there should have been three requisitions.
And, I am planning to go on vacation in November. Rome, Turkey, Greece, and Egypt. The Pope is not too popular now, The Kurds are bombing places in Turkey, Greece is well..whatever, and Egypt has its very own terriorist stuff going on...
