
Tuesday, I'm finally on my way to explore the Mediterranean. While in Venice we will be staying in a converted palace. While the hotel pictures are absolutely jaw-dropping, I shall not be surprised if it looks like the Bates Motel.
This trip has been three years in the making. I'm apprehensive about using my primitive Italian skills, but at least I shall make an attempt. I am part Italian, so I am hoping some cells in my brain shall fire and release a language used many years ago in my family.
