Simply amazin..

When I first moved into my home 18 years ago, my aunt presented me
with a JFK Rose Bush. It has grown bigger than I could ever expect.
It has broken through the deck, (which was made bigger--much to my objections)and is determined to survive. Today I counted 65 roses-all the fainted blush of pink.

Also observe Buddy's house which is where he used to spend the night. I suspect he is out and about cruising for the ladies. The only time I have seen him is in the morning for breakfast, but that is not a guarantee lately, either...

The Reality of Life poked Itself in....

We flew back yesterday.
I am sure you have heard the story about the 18 year old high school student who is missing on Aruba. A notice in the local paper asked anyone who was interested in finding her to show up at a local hotel. So we did. There were about 55 people there. I believe all were Americans. We met her Mom. Seeing this stuff on tv is nothing like witnessing the heartache of a Mom trying to locate her child in your presence.
In spite of the sad feelings, I was inspired by the unity of strangers in forming a posse with 4 wheelers, griding the island and searching for her. Being that I have to stay out of the sun, we decided to post pictures of her. I bought tape and a magic marker and we drove to bus stops and ends of streets in the hope that someone would recognize her. The local paper on the island didn't acurately describe her physical appearance. In the press she looks bigger than she actually is. She is quite small, a size zero.
The US papers and tv are increasing their coverage of her.
If you look at Aruba with an evil eye, there are lots of places a person can hide, or hideout, or be hidden by someone. The island is also close to South America.
The search is intensifying.
I hope she will be okay.
I hope her Mom will be okay......
